ADT A60H Wear Liner Installation at PT Pamapersada Nusantara
As of the end of 2024, PAMA provides mining services at 15 coal mining sites across Sumatra and Kalimantan, and holds subsidiaries PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP) and PT Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA).
Project Summary
The A60H is a Volvo articulated hauler with a payload capacity of 55,000 kg (60.6 tons). The unit’s vessel body is made of steel plate ranging from 8mm thick at the front to 16mm at the bottom and chute.
PAMA faced a carryback problem on ADT A60H vessels operating at the VIPO (VALE) Pomala site. On every dumping cycle, material left behind on the vessel surface reached 3 to 9 tons. This disrupted production, since it required extra time to meet production targets.
To resolve this problem, PT Pamapersada Nusantara appointed PT Suprabakti Mandiri to carry out TIVAR 88-2 wear liner installation on the ADT A60H vessel, with work starting on April 17, 2026
Project Execution
To meet this need, the project covered the lining process on 3 units of ADT A60H vessels using TIVAR 88-2 lining material, a UHMW-PE with a low coefficient of friction. This material has low water absorption and excellent chemical resistance, making it well suited for lining the inside of a vessel that is in constant contact with mined material. The full job took 18 days.

- Lining cutting process

- Lining drilling process
The lining process began with measuring the vessel to be lined. The TIVAR 88-2 material was then cut to size for each side of the vessel. The next stage was drilling the TIVAR material with hole diameters of 26mm and 40mm, matched to the weld collar size on the cut material.
Once cutting and drilling were complete, the team moved on to welding the weld collars to install the TIVAR 88-2 liner. A leading edge was then installed on the top side of the vessel to make sure no material could get underneath the liner.

- Collar welding process
-
- Leading edge welding process
Once the entire liner was installed, the final stage was finishing, which included applying sealant to any remaining gaps and a thorough cleaning of the vessel surface.
Schedule
- Induction and JSA process : 16 April 2026
- Work procedure briefing and vessel measurement : 16 April 2026
- TIVAR cutting process : 17 April 2026 – 30 April 2026
- Drilling process : 17 April 2026 – 2 May 2026
- Collar and leading-edge welding process : 17 April 2026 – 3 May 2026
- Finishing : 3 May 2026
- ADT A60H delivery to Pomala : 5 May 2026
Project Outcomes
Once every process was complete, all three ADT A60H vessel units lined with TIVAR 88-2 went through trial and cleaning. The installed liner is ready to reduce carryback on the vessel before the units are shipped to the VIPO (VALE) Pomala site.
