In a conveyor belt system, the conveyor pulley plays an important role in driving, redirecting, and maintaining belt tension as it transports materials. These cylindrical drums, mounted on shafts, transfer power from the drive unit to the belt and guide its movement along the designated path.

The system includes types of pulleys: conveyor drive pulleys propel the belt using motor power; tail pulleys support and redirect the belt at the tail of the conveyor; and take-up pulleys maintain consistent tension. Snub and bend pulleys help change the belt’s angle or increase its contact with the drive pulley to improve traction.

Engineers design conveyor pulleys to withstand heavy loads, resist abrasion, and maintain proper alignment throughout operation. They select high-quality materials, apply precise welding techniques, ensure proper balancing, and use reliable bearings and locking mechanisms. A well-designed conveyor pulley significantly improves the conveyor system’s performance and reliability.

TechnoRoll Conveyor Pulley

TechnoRoll applies these principles to produce conveyor pulleys with outstanding reliability and durability. Our team follows a detail design process that includes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to make sure each conveyor pulley meets international standards and handles real-world stress conditions.

TechnoRoll manufactures its pulleys locally using rolled stell pipe or cabon steel plate. WIth a steel plate rolling maching that bends plates up to 40 mm thick, the facility fabricates pulleys capable of withstanding demanding industrial applications.

In-house machinists process end discs and shafts up to 6 meters long to maintain precise tolerances and consistent quality. Technicians join roller steel plates and end discs using an automated welding machine to guarantee strong welds. After the assembly, they perform static or dynamic balancing to eliminate vibration. TechnoRoll also offers flat or crowned pulley profiles to match specific conveyor requirements.

TechnoRoll equips its pulleys with SKF or FAG bearings and secures them with Ringfeder locking assemblies. The team coats each drum pulley with rubber lining using the Autoclave Vulcanized method. This process creates a strong bond between the rubber and the steel surface.

TechnoRoll has secured TKDN certification from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry. This achievement demonstrates its commitment to local manufacturing excellence, product quality, and engineering integrity.
