Belt Cleaners Cleanse Better, Last Longer, and Cheaper.

Conveyor Belt Cleaners play an important role in eliminating carryback and ensuring smooth operations. Conveyor belt cleaners are commonly installed as soon as the conveyor system operates to prevent material buildup. Conduct regular inspections and replace them based on wear and material type to maintain consistent performance.

Suprabakti is proud to supply Martin Engineering conveyor belt cleaning systems in order to fit the broad needs of many industries. Martin Engineering conveyor belt cleaners work seamlessly with all belt sizes and speeds for optimal performance in any environment.

Moreover, Martin Engineering has a complete solution for every conveyor belt system from heavy-duty applications to specialized equipments.

Belt Claners Benefits

Keeping belts clean is more than just a matter of hygiene. Installing the Martin® Conveyor Belt Cleaners greatly increases efficiency by suggesting the following benefits:

  • Increased profitability – Belt cleaners eliminate carryback, reducing fugitive material and cutting clean-up and maintenance costs.
  • Minimize material loss – Scraping the belt at the head pulley keeps bulk materials moving efficiently through transfer points or into containers.
  • Long-lasting conveyor system -Preventing carryback protects rollers and idlers, reducing belt wandering and fraying
  • Lower energy costs – Removing stuck material lightens the belt, reducing strain and thus reducing energy consumption.
  • Safer work environment – Eliminating fugitive material prevents slips, falls, and dust-related hazards.

Primary Belt Cleaners

primary belt clenener

The primary cleaner, as the first stage of a multiple cleaner system, eliminates the majority of the material stuck to the belt, leaving up only a thin layer of sticky particles.

Typically, primary cleaners are tensioned against the belt at a low pressure of about 2 psi . The primary cleaner can be positioned against the belt at a peeling angle owing to less blade-to-belt pressure. Higher pressure would put the belt, splice, or cleaner itself in peril at this angle.

Martin Engineering designs Primary Belt Cleaners to remove bulk material from conveyor belts, supporting belt widths up to 3,000 mm and speeds up to 10 m/s. Therefore, install primary cleaners just below the material trajectory on the head pulley’s face. Position them out of the material stream to prevent buildup.

Martin Engineering makes sure that its primary cleaners keep conveyor systems cleaner, safer, and more productive. Belt cleaners are made for easy maintenance, such as blade replacement to provide superb performance and convenience.

Secondary Belt Cleaners

Martin Engineering’s secondary cleaners can completely remove fugitive material and carryback. Installed at the discharge pulley point, Martin Engineering’s secondary cleaners eliminate any remaining material left on the belt by the primary cleaner

Secondary Cleaners are often placed close enough to the material trajectory that cleanings return to the main material stream.

For this reason, more tertiary cleaners could be added for the final cleaning stage. In some cases, these cleaners can have a different design to allow efficient cleaning and maintenance in the given space, or otherwise, they can be the same model as the secondary cleaner.

Mount these cleaners at or near a point where the belt presses against a roller, keeping them away from the pulley. Firm support keeps the cleaning pressure from raising the belt line and reducing cleaning efficiency.

Suprabakti Mandiri’s technicians and engineers is readily available to give advice and assistance on these products, as well as any other inquiries or challenges related to bulk material handling.
