Air Canon
Air cannon prevent bulk material buildup that causes blockages and ratholes in kilns, silos, bins, hoppers, chutes, and other machinery. It effectively maintain system movement, especially when materials absorb moisture and become sticky. Air cannon particularly useful for handling coal, cement, and aggregate.
Suprabakti Mandiri Presents Martin® Air Cannons to supply a silent yet potent discharge of compressed air to clear obstructions and improve material flow – raising productivity and preserving profitability.
Martin® Air Cannons have been used to help improve material flow and avoid buildups globally. Martin Engineering manufactured the air cannon technology to reduce bottlenecks and accelerate material movement through large vessels.
Hurricane Type
The Martin® Hurricane Air Cannon enhances bulk material flow and guards against halts brought on by ratholes, build-ups, and obstructions in the discharge area. It features a unique valve that increases force, uses less air, and simplifies installation and maintenance.
A positive-acting, centrally located valve design with the most direct air path, maximum force output, least amount of air consumption, smallest footprint, and easiest installation. It is available with both a fan jet nozzle and a high-temperature nozzle.
- Delivers maximum discharge strength with high velocity and half the air volume, reducing costs.
- The design enables quick maintenance. Remove and replace the valve system in minutes from one side of the tank without removing the tank from the vessel.
Ideal for small spaces, it uses smaller air reservoirs to generate more power with less air. - It shoots in response to a solenoid valve’s positive air surge, minimizing the possibility of an accidental discharge.
A positive-acting valve lets you position control solenoids up to 200 feet (60 meters) away, protecting them from harsh weather and tough maintenance.
Typhoon Type
A hybrid valve concept found in the Martin® Typhoon Air Cannon increases force, reduces air consumption, and eases maintenance in demanding applications with tight budgets.
The Martin® Typhoon Air Cannon combines advanced internal valve power and efficiency with classic one-line piping for a superior negative-pressure firing system. It is available with both a fan jet nozzle and a high-temperature nozzle.
- A single airline fills the tank and triggers the valve.
- The air cannon system has a steel mount that is strong and capable of withstanding moderate turbulence.
- You can remove the entire valve system in one step and replace it within minutes from one side of the tank.
- Maintenance never requires removing the tank from the vessel.
- Negative pressure firing delivers strong performance for demanding, budget-conscious applications.
- Replaced the outdated air cannon with newer models that use solenoids that normally open, minimizing the need to resemble the system.
Tornado Type
The Martin® Tornado Air Cannon improves material flow with greater force, speed, and safety. A tripped solenoid triggers powerful bursts as the exhaust valve opens, This design ensures optimal performance and reliability in industrial applications.
The Martin® Tornado’s positive-pressure firing valve discharges only when an air pulse is supplied through an additional line. This prevents accidental firings caused by pressure drops, a common issue with negative-pressure valves, and enhances workplace safety.
The Typhoon Air Cannon offers three valve sizes, ten tank sizes, and a retrofit valve option. Choose between a fan jet or high-temperature nozzle for compatibility with various industrial setups.
- Releasing compressed air at high velocities improves material movement.
- A positive-acting valve amplifies the discharge force, which results in 20% greater power than an air cannon of the same size.
- Ideal for coolers and pre-heater towers in cement kilns, or other high-temperature applications.
- Positive action prevents the air cannon from firing when source pressure is released.
- A positive-action design allows mounting solenoids 200 feet (30.48 meters) or more from the air cannon. No lubrication is needed.
